8 Girl Power Tips

With all the negative portrayal of girls filtering throughout society in books, games, magazines, and television  it is crucial that our Girls get a positive boost. NO Girl can have the "Barbie Doll" body it is unrealistic. Most important, a Girls body is her temple, it is precious and should be treated as such. As mentioned in the book Girl Power Discover the Princess Within: "Every girl is a Princess. It doesn't matter where she lives, what talents she possess, how she speaks, what she wears or the color of her skin. The power is within!"

Discover the Princess Within with these 8 Girly Tips

1. Respect yourself and others. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Remember kindness goes much further than being mean.

Some benefits from drinking water are: it helps to moisturize your skin so you will look fresh; water will help flushout waste and toxins from your body, it improves your thinking and ward off the common cold and other illnesses. Consume more fruits and vegetables because they have healthy benefits for the overall body function, brain, bones, etc. Lastly, include exercise daily. The more you hop, skip, run and jump the healthier your body will become - flexible and strong.

3. Celebrate being YOU! Dedicate a day to be pampered. DRESS up and get your happy dance on. Give yourself a manicure or pedicure. Write a list of things that bring you joy then do them.

4. Have a gratitude attitude. Be thankful for what you have and more blessings will appear.
